Shown here are (public) web sites that I have developed either for work, or for fun. For my web sites, I have used PHP, MySQL, Perl, xhtml, CSS, and JavaScript.

MyPixelPost.com

This site originally started out as buddies.thinkeclectic.net. However, it has come a long way since then, as it is now fully database driven, and far easier to use than buddies.thinkeclectic.net.

You might ask, “Why another picture posting site, aren't there enough already?” While there are a fair number of them out there, most are laden with advertisements (either for other sites, or to purchase services from thiner own site), and although several are community oriented, none that I have found embody the paradigm I have developed. I see a picture posting site as a way to share images of our adventures, friends, and family with our friends and family. Usually when we go on these adventures, or to social gatherings, more than one person brings a camera. So, with my site, I have decided to create shareable albums. The idea is as follows:

ThinkEclectic.net

In 2004, I had the blessing of traveling to South East Asia with my father, grandfather, and uncle. It was a grand adventure and a wonderful experience. I have compiled a photo album with notes about our trip here. So why that domain name right? This was the first domain I ever bought. Think Globably, Act Locally. Same idea here. And the same idea with the recount of our travels too.

WinfreeFamily.net

My wife and I have a child! WinfreeFamily.net is where I have designed a small CMS for her and I to post images, video, and audio of our child (including ultrasound). The site is password protected; each family member gets their own user name and password.

Mars-Ice.org

This is one of four of my work related websites. Mars-Ice.org is intended to be the premier place to view research on Martian ice. The site is driven by PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

Moon-Cal.org

This is another one of four of my work related websites. Moon-Cal.org is simpler than Mars-Ice.org, yet I am happier with the graphical results of Moon-Cal.org. I used PHP for navigational controls (I know, not always smiled upon), and then made heavy use of CSS for all of the layout. All logos and images except USGS and the picture of the moon, are my work. These were done in Adobe© CS2 as pngs with alpha channel enabled. This site it not backed by a database of any kind; the gallery however is dynamically loaded by reading contents from a directory that holds the images.

Mars-Dunes.org

Yet another one of my work related websites. This is driven by the same software package that I developed for mars-ice.org.
